 Pershore Plum Festival

28th August (Bank Holiday Monday)

This very popular show is always well attended and this year Aan Cleobury is collecting entries together and will send of a booking form for the whols club.  Entry fee is £4.00 and Alan needs this in advance, in order to send the money with the booking.

For those who have not been before the Plum Festival is a week long event in Pershore and finishes on the Bank Holiday Monday with a big Classic Car Gathering in the grounds of the Abbey.  There is also lots going on in the town with all the local businesses entering in to the spirit of the week decorating there windows in purple and some having stalls outside.  In some streets there are market  stalls selling crafts etc and all types of consumables like pig roast, sausages, cheese, wines, beers and of course plums.

In the past we have had a convoy run down to Pershore but this has resulted in us being too late to occupy our display spot (usually along the edge of the 'MG' field, with the Abbey as a back drop), so the best plan is to go straight there and get there in good time before the queues build up.  Last was was drier, so lets hope for a fine day again but if not we now have our 'storm shelters' to hide under.
