The Golden Cross to The Fox in Broadwell
Yet another great day out, with many thanks to Nigel for finding a great venue and devising a very scenic route. The Fox was packed to the doors but everyone managed to find a seat and enjoyed a fine lunch. It helped a lot that we were blessed with fine weather again.
Here are some photos from the day, the selection also includes photos from Graham & Norman:

Drive it Day 26th April 2015
26 cars met outside the front of HMC for the start of their 'Drive it Day' run which passed through Kineton, Wellesbourne, Loxley, Mickleton & Welford-on-Avon to finish at their normal meeting point of The Golden Cross in Ardens Grafton for lunch. A good lunch was enjoyed in the full restaurant at the Cross. Graham Robson has provided some photos taken at The Heritage Motor Centre and on the route, he has offered to print any of the photos in A3 format (295 x 420mm) at a cost of £3 each if anyone is interested, he has very high resolution photos so will look good even at that size. If you would like a print let me know and I will liase with Graham. Graham has also written a piece which will hopefully be printed in a forthcoming edition of Enjoying MG.

The Golden Cross, Ardens Grafton to The Gate Hangs High, Sibford
20+ cars enjoyed a very scenic run, many thanks to Richard Workman for setting the route and supplying the informative comments about things along the journey.
There was a slight problem at the Gate Hangs High with insufficient tables available for those that wanted to have lunch. My apologies for this but I did advise the landlord of the expected numbers and he made no comment that he would be short of space and booking would be advisable. I will arrange things differently for the next run. I hope it didn't spoil the day for anyone.

Drive it Day Run 2013
21st April 2013
Drive it Day entrants lined up in the Orchard Car Park at The Golden Cross, getting ready for the Heritage Run in May
29
cars gathered at The Golden Cross for the scenic run and after the
bacon rolls set off to The National Herb Centre near Warmington
village. The sun shone for most of the day. At the Golden Cross the MG
cars were lined up in the orchard car park for a 'photo shoot' to
promote the Club's 21st Heritage Run, which will be taking place in May, note the Rally Plates that have been sent out to all entrants.
Picnics
or lunches were enjoyed at the Herb Centre and most people opted to run
down to the nearby Heritage Motor Centre to join in the FBHVC's event
where a good number of classic cars were gathered, rather than enjoy the
walks at the Centre, although I did see lots of shopping bags full of
greenery being loaded into cars.
Drive it Day 2012
The Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs (FBHVC) 'Drive it Day' has been set up to commemorate the 64 cars that set off from London on 23 April 1900 on the first day of the Thousand Mile Trial. An incredible undertaking and one which the FBHVC believe deserves an annual celebration. The date for this year's run is 22nd April.
This year we set
off from The Golden Cross after coffee and bacon rolls and drove a
scenic route of approx 30 miles through the Cotswold country lanes
finishing at 'The Fox Inn' in Great Barrington. We had a total of 26
cars for the run and the rain held off for the journey there, with a few
showers before setting off back home.
