Club members please let us know about any car related supplier or product that you have used and would like to bring to the attention of other members.

Note - in none of these cases is this a recommendation, merely a member's own positive reaction to the service received.

Another recommendation from Mark Worrall:

As a new owner / member I had been looking for a re-chrome in Midlands. Alscott Garage recommended Marque Restore in Coventry and they have done an excellent job on my MGA bumpers.
Good price, excellent service whereby you can pay a small deposit and book them into a production slot 6-8 weeks in advance therefore off the car for limited period.

Just a mention for other members, Marque Restore, 02476 662 225, Coventry.

As discussed on Tuesday I have an MGA and had a problem from the Stratford Festival run. A chap who serviced our horse lorry it turns out did his apprenticeship on MGB's and Aston Martins and has done a fantastic job on solving my problem.

Rod Coombes is his name and I would highly recommend him to any MG owners as a chap who is very knowledgable and does a high calibre job. Through his work on horse boxes, all sorts of cars and his background he has an ability to tackle any problem.

He is based by Moreton in Marsh and on his own so cost effective as well. My problem needed an endoscope etc to identify then a cylinder head rebuild.

I would like to recommend him to yourself plus put his details on the Arden club website if thats possible.

Levo-Artis, York www.levo-artis.com

As mentioned in the March club newsletter, we have been extremely pleased with the ramps we bought from Stuart at Levo Artis and people who have seen our cars on the ramps have bought their own. They make jobs at home so much easier and safer.

Distributor Doctor http://www.distributordoctor.com

Incredibly knowledgeable about all distributor problems - in particular probably the only supplier of red rotor arms which eliminate the earthing problems we have all probably suffered from which leave you stranded on the side of the road! DD is based in Somerset but offers a very reasonable and fast mail order service as well as advice on the phone.
